Foundation Poured on New Ground-Up Retail Project in Colorado

Precision Contractors has completed the foundation on a new ground-up, multi-unit retail building for Denver-based commercial retail developer Armstrong Capital Development (ACD). The time-lapse video shows the concrete team getting to work on the foundation.

The project is featured at ACD’s Sand Hill, a 10-acre retail center currently under development at the northeast corner of Constitution Avenue and Marksheffel Road near Banning Lewis Ranch in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Precision Contractors will be completing the core and shell for Sand Hill’s first multi-tenant building, which will later be subdivided into suites ranging from approximately 1,500 – 2,500 sq. ft.

In addition to this ground-up retail construction, the Precision team is working on a substantial amount of the horizontal sitework, including site preparation, civil engineering work, completion of a 100+ space parking field, and the construction of a major storm retention pond intended to serve the entire west end of the development. The storm sewer project our team is installing will handle the needs of both current and future onsite projects.

Located directly across the street from a recently constructed King Soopers Marketplace, the overall development will include a diverse balance of new retail and retail services buildings, including additional multi-unit space, single-tenant build-to-suits, medical/dental facilities, light automotive repair and a recently opened 7-Eleven Gas/C-Store.

The next major milestone for the project is pouring the slab for the retail building. Stay tuned for additional updates!
